Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario (and the surrounding areas), Jordan Krug attended the University of Windsor, where he received an Honors Degree in Communication Studies.
From there he worked locally for about 2 years with Suede Production's (www.suedeproductions.com) Nicholas Shields, and Knock Out Film's (www.knockoutfilms.com) Christopher Pickle. During this time, he ran the gamut in production roles, directing, writing, shooting, and editing on a wide variety of projects. It was after completing his first feature as editor ("Finding Electra") that he decided to focus exclusively on editorial.
Moving to Toronto, he was hired by 3rd Floor Editing (www.3rdfloorediting.com), and was with the company for over 4 years. During that time he worked with and under the tutelage of Richard Unruh and Kurt Ritchie, both commercial editors he respects and admires. Working at 3rd Floor broadened his technical knowledge, to the point where he has been able to set up a specialized editing system for his own use. In his last year with the company, Jordan was promoted to full editor, a position he kept until his eventual move into freelance work.
Jordan's freelance work includes music videos, commercials, documentaries, and film. He cites his ability and desire to try new things as the key to his success as an editor, and is working hard to keep the momentum going.
